Client: LiquidSpark Adventure Travel and Tourism Marketing

Wrote all copy for a complete overhaul of the Wildwater Rafting and Adventure Company website and brochures. Wildwater is the oldest rafting company in the Southeast. They run trips on five regional rivers, including the Southeast’s most famous whitewater river, the Chattooga River, site of the movie Deliverance. Wrote copy for all rafting trips, zipline adventures, lodging, and other adventure opportunities.

I wrote a 12,000 word story book for children about the home-buying process for Stewart Title. Client wanted a book that could be given as a gift to customers who might be unfamiliar with the process of buying real estate. The book features child characters of Mexican, Vietnamese, Filipino, Korean, American Indian, African American, Caucasian and Chinese backgrounds who navigate the milestones of buying a house with their families. Many of the children know one another from school or church and their stories intersect as they learn about real estate fundamentals like open houses, the role of realtors, fixed-rate and adjustable-rate mortgages, title insurance, making an offer and closing costs.

Gale Study Guides

Client: Gale Cengage Learning.

Ongoing: I research and write for the Gale Cengage Poetry, Drama, Short Stories and Novels for Students series. Each study guide averages between 8,000-10,000 words, and contains author biographies, historical overview, critical summary, suggested study exercises and related reading, as well as a sample critical essay.
